2012th year is slowly coming to the end. It was actually very good year for New York buildings and their fans. A lot of stalled projects woke up, a lot of new ones started to rise, some of them will move the boundaries. 432 Park Avenue skyscraper is one of these.
We are following this building for about one year now. When we did our first construction update in August, tower was still deep in the hole. In October update, tower crane was installed allowing construction to speed up. Last month building reached street level, leaving us amazed with the unusual speed of growing. Now it's time for December construction progress.
Steel cages for those massive concrete columns are already above the ground floor while forms for the concrete slab are being placed. Central concrete core on the ground floor is already poured and waiting for sliding mechanism to be installed, which will allow faster progress.
On the 57th street side, tower crane parts started arriving. Park Avenue side is still empty. Here are three snapshots from the live Earthcam webcams, showing 432 Park Avenue construction progress till December 12th. For those who are interested in detailed info about the skyscraper, below is collection of 432 Park Avenue floor plans, drawings and sketches showing almost every part of the site.
Stay tuned for more info about the new New York's tallest residential building.
