Black Concrete House by Pitagoras Arquitectos
Pitagoras Arquitectos designed "L23", a black concrete house with high level of minimalism, located in Guimaraes, Portugal.
Simple lines and plates defined this structure forming wide open modern home with nice central backyard, offering privacy. Since the house is built on a hill, site terrain requested for entrance to be on the first floor instead of ground floor, making house flow going down instead of up.
That way backyard left completely closed to the street and wide open to the valley, giving opportunity to enjoy lovely nature views. Another interesting design feature is black concrete which points out beautiful piece of modern architecture in the nature.
