One of the largest projects in New York City, The Hudson Yards, broke the ground in the last quarter of 2012. The project construction is scheduled to be done in two phases. First phase contains four towers. Two office towers on the far east side of the site will be constructed first. South tower construction started first and here's current development progress.
This 47-story skyscraper, designed by KPF, will be 273m (895ft) tall. It is located right next to the High Line park (phase 3) at 10th avenue and West 30th street. Space is leased to Coach Inc company which will occupy the tower in 2015.
Photos below are from December 10-12th. Preparation work has begun, while pile machines are waiting to start piling the foundations.
Stay tuned for the upcoming updates from the biggest construction site in New York City at the moment.
